Applicable head of Francis turbine is between 20 and 300m.This turbine has spiral casing which can make water flow to move in spiral casing and has good flow state. This turbine has higher efficiency, simple structure, stable operation, and is suitable for larger hydropower station with middle and high head. This type is divided for vertical and horizontal. Type of runner has many series, and specification is completed, so this turbine can widely apply.
